This hybrid system co-funded by the European union and Grenada Electricity Services includes wind generation, battery storage, complex controls and modified diesel generation with the goal of offsetting 48% of the fuel consumption on the island of Carriacou. Furthermore, this project will serve as an important test project and example for application on a grander scale on the island of Grenada. System configuration will consist of 2 MW of wind capacity, battery storage controllers.
